Patient Comfort at Pacific Dental Care
Comfort Dentistry at our Seattle and Issaquah locations
Not every dental procedure can be 100% painless, but the staff at Pacific Dental Care employ the most recent methods of dispensing anesthesia and other advances in dentistry to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Whether your dental procedure be cosmetic or general, we are committed to creating the most professional and comfortable environment for you.
Below are just some of the methods we can use to reduce discomfort, and sometimes eliminate it all together! At both our Seattle and Issaquah dentist offices, you will find all of these options, and a very pleasant dental experience.
Relaxed and Professional Environment
Our office prides itself on not being rushed and centering our attention to our patients and the environment we create for them. You will feel comfortable and relaxed while we take gentle care of you.
Blankets, Pillows, or Whatever You Want
We have almost everything you can request to help make you comfortable. Just ask and bets are that you will get it!
Audio and Video analgesia
We have movie glasses that allow you to watch a movie while you’re getting your dental care. Pick from our list or bring your own! Bring your own mp3 player or iPod and use it to transport yourself to a place more relaxing that the dentist’s office.
When needed, our doctors can select medication to mildly sedate or calm patients before and during the appointment. Sometimes this is used to simply help patients sleep the night before an appointment.
N2O2 or “laughing gas” as it is sometimes called, offers an excellent alternative for many people without high risk and high cost associated with being put to sleep.
The days of painful scraping and drilling are nearly over. The latest micropreparation systems allow us to perform most routine dental procedures without the need for shots, the discomfort of numb lips, or the tedious waiting times associated with dentistry in the past. That’s what I call a balance between technology and comfort… and it costs no more than doing it the old way.
We are all very concerned about your safety. Every member of our staff is trained in the most recent infection control technologies. To list all the new technologies we use for this would take another whole website!
Sometimes, the older technology is the only route available. We have taken effective, older instruments, and made them better. All of our high speed drills are accurately guided by fiber optic technology for a lower margin of error, and less discomfort for all.
It’s one thing to tell a patient to relax but its quite another thing to provide the tools to allow them to do so.
